Student Papers

ASME Pipeline Systems Division Student Paper Award

Graduate and Undergraduate students in the field of Pipeline Engineering have been invited to submit the results of their work to the fourth Student Paper Competition held during IPC 2008. Eight papers have been selected for presentation as competition finalists at the Conference from over 30 entries received.

Based on a panel assessment, the first prize winner will receive a cash prize of $1,000 US to be awarded at the final Conference luncheon held on Friday, October 3.

Best Paper Award (Rio Award)

IPC 2008 will carry on the tradition started in 2002, when the Pipeline Systems Division (PSD) introduced an award to honour the best paper presented at the International Pipeline Conference (IPC). Apart from gaining the recognition of having authored the best paper, the PSD has agreed
to provide airfare and expenses for the winning author to present his/her paper at the Rio Pipeline Conference & Exposition sponsored by the Brazilian Petroleum Institute (IBP) in Rio de Janeiro
in October 2009.
