If you are planning to submit an abstract for consideration for IPC 2008 please note the following deadlines:

Authors to Submit Abstracts by ~~December 3, 2007~~ Extended to January 9, 2008.
Author Notification of Abstract Acceptance by January 21, 2008. (if accepted, authors are invited to submit Draft Paper/s)
Authors Submit Draft Papers for Technical Review by Monday, March 17, 2008.
Draft Paper Technical Reviews Completed by Monday, May 26, 2008.
Author Notification of Draft Paper Acceptance by ~~June 2, 2008~~. Extended to Monday, June 9, 2008 (if accepted, authors are required to submit Final Paper/s and Copyright Form/s)
Copyright Form Submission due by Monday, June 16, 2008
Final Paper Submission for Publication due by Monday, June 23, 2008

Where papers have been accepted at previous IPCs but the authors failed to present, the Technical Committee reserves the right to require a pre-paid deposit from those authors prior to accepting their paper for IPC 2008.

Review Criteria

Abstracts will be judged on their content pertaining to new knowledge or experience/test results and their technical merit and interest relative to the conference. Authors must avoid commercial references within their abstracts and papers.

ASME guidelines will be followed at all stages of the process and the link for the guidelines can be found at: www.asme.org/Publications/ConfProceedings/Author/Author_Resources.cfm

Final paper acceptance will be at the discretion of the Technical Committee.
